1 - I am officially doing an independent study based on what I gleaned from looking at dirt all summer. Technical name for the course - Research in Paleolimnology. Plan is to present a poster at the Annual Wisconsin Geology Conference in mid-October. Cool ( Read more... )

Oh, yeah, and TODAY I GOT TO PLAY WITH A FLOW TABLE! You know, where there's a table full of sand and water trickling through it to study how streams form and how they meander and all that jazz. It was fun, and I get to play with it again tomorrow. Wheee, playing in the mud!
